Projects

At Mansford Korporasi Group, coffee is not our end goal – it’s our starting point. Behind every cup lies a network of social and environmental projects designed to empower communities, protect nature, and create long-term systems change.

Empowering Farmer Cooperatives

Our work begins at the ground level. Most of the farmers we support in Flores were previously fragmented, working individually with no bargaining power. Through our cooperative-building programs, we help producers form formal, democratic organizations. These cooperatives are now able to:

  • Negotiate better prices collectively
  • Invest in shared infrastructure (drying stations, moisture meters, warehouses)
  • Represent their interests in trade relationships

The result is not just better coffee – it’s increased dignity and control over livelihoods.

Technology for Smallholders

We believe that innovation should serve the poor, not displace them. That’s why we’ve introduced multispectral drone analysis, soil testing, and mobile moisture meters to selected farming groups. These tools allow farmers to:

  • Identify soil deficiencies
  • Optimize planting and fertilization
  • Improve harvest timing and post-harvest handling

With technical guidance from agronomists and digital tools, Flores’ farmers are producing export-grade quality while maintaining traditional methods.

Women’s Empowerment

Our profits directly fund the expansion of TRUK-F, a women’s shelter for survivors of domestic violence on the island. We collaborate with SVD missionaries and local leaders to provide protection, psychological support, and skills training for women. A portion of every container we export helps sustain and scale this essential service – with plans to expand across eastern Indonesia.

Regenerative Agriculture & EUDR Readiness

To meet the new EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), we invest in traceability, reforestation, and satellite mapping. But our goal goes beyond compliance:

Farmers are trained in regenerative practices such as intercropping, composting, and water conservation

Shade-grown coffee protects biodiversity and reduces erosion

Trees planted around farms help restore degraded landscapes

This model improves both productivity and ecosystem health – turning farms into carbon sinks, not emitters.

Social Entrepreneurship in Action

Our project is a working example of Christian participatory development in the spirit of liberation theology: rooted in justice, committed to inclusion, and shaped by the voices of the poor. We measure success not only in kilos exported, but in lives changed.
